Forum Vogelsang | Exhibitions
Forum Vogelsang is the key project of the destination for education and tourism. It will replace the previous temporary visitor information. Despite the temporary solution, in 2008 already 70,000 people participated in the guided tours, site tours, workshops, ascents of the tower and other events conducted by our 40 trained guides. And there is an unchanged strong demand for all offers in 2009. This holds as well for the newly offered regular guided tours like "Secret Chambers" and "Little Discoverers". Vogelsang is developing to be a destination for the entire family. New offers are being developed perspectively. Many people are curious about Vogelsang and its history. After completion of the Forum and the exhibitions, even more guests are being expected to come.

Step by step, „Forum Vogelsang“ will be opened until 2012. A persuasive archtectonic concept for this is provided by the winning draft of an international architecture contest.

The Forum includes
- the central visitor information,
- three permanent exhibitions (National Park Centre, National Socialist Documentation, SchauFenster Eifel-Ardennes),
- a "culture workshop" as a temporary exhibition area,
- a centre for events, seminars and meetings
- and the tower as a panorama point

A restaurant and a shop will complete the offer.

Realisation of the exhibitions, for which initial concepts have already been presented to us, will start stepwise around year-end of 2010.
