A unique site in Europe
The former National Socialist estate „Ordensburg“ Vogelsang is located in the southeast of North Rhine-Westphalia, within the tri-border region of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands - 15 km off the belgian state frontier. In 2002, preliminary planning started and so did de facto the actual conversion of this place steeped in history when on January 1, 2006, the terrain was finally opened to the public. Currently, on a 100-hectare area, an international tourism and education destination is being created under the umbrella brand of "vogelsang ip | International Place in the Eifel National Park".

On site, you can feel a sprit of optimism. People from far away are curious about the things happening today in Vogelsang and what is about to be created there. More than 600,000 visitors are giving a clear proof of the existing interest within the region and its environment. An initial impression of the project will be conveyed by our three-minute image film.

The Standortentwicklungsgesellschaft Vogelsang GmbH (SEV) has launched a market research procedure, the goal being the acquisition of innovative projects for the site even beyond the phase of starting investments. The remarkable development concept and the environment which is unique in Europe, are offering exceptional perspectives for business ideas and projects matching the scheme: public sponsoring and private commitment are working effectively hand in hand. Public funding and private industry commitment are working effectively hand in glove, thus resulting in synergies, co-operation and interesting investment opportunities.

And not least does Vogelsang invite to take an active part in the creation of an extraordinary place and a great idea.
